![]() ![]() ![]() I've tried rebooting the computer, rebooting in recover mode to perform first aid on the drive, I've tried reinstalling and updating FCPX, nothing seems to help. It's really irritating to not be able to just empty the trash and be on my way. If I want to finish emptying the trash, I have to dive all the way down and delete individual files or aliases. "The operation can’t be completed because the item “Original Media” is in use." If I try to delete one of these folders, I get a similar error: If I go into the package contents in the Trash, I find that the culprit folders are usually "Media > Render Files > Peaks Data", "Media > Render Files > Thumbnail Data", or "Media > Original Media" "The operation can’t be completed because the item “mylibrary.fcpbundle” is in use." He clicked on the "New Project" icon and the button reacted, but no new project was created.ĭo we need to delete FCPX and re-install? 301 5įinal Cut Libraries Won't Empty Out Of Trash In the past month or so, when I delete Final Cut Pro X libraries (or folders containing FCPX libraries), and go to empty my trash, the trash will delete most of the folder/library contents, but then throw errors for particular folders. None of the libraries on any of our drives. ![]() We restarted the iMac and opened FCPX directly, then tried to open a library from inside the platform. Our guy tried to close out of FCP and it gave an alert and would not close. Just an empty interface with "Nothing Loaded" at the top of the viewer. No media loaded, no projects, no events, nothing. Today our editor went in, clicked on one of the libraries and FCP opened and was completely empty. Otherwise we've moved no files or made changes to the source media. We recently backed up one of the larger libraries to an external "emergency" drive that we keep off site. Two days ago you could click on any library and it would open up quickly and load the media, no problems at at all. We have a couple of libraries on the desktop and a couple more on an external drive. Help? We've been using FPCX v 10.6.4 with no issues on an iMac that is dedicated to editing and nothing else. ![]()
